About the Producer
Founded in 1882, Domaine de La Croix is ââclose to the village of La Croix Valmer and the beaches of the Saint-Tropez Peninsula. Its area is 1800 acres, of which 1000 are vineyards that go down to the sea. In the 1955 ranking, the winery was designated as Cru ClassĂ© de Provence and is the largest Cru ClassĂ© vineyard in the area.
Here, the sun-drenched grape varieties benefit from beautiful maritime influences, conducive to their development. The Domaine's three very diverse terroirs, including a little gem called Bastide Blanche right next to the sea, produce grapes of great quality. The soils, differing but predominantly sandy-shale, allow the roots to penetrate deep. This particularity makes the vines less sensitive to lack of water, while promoting complexity and finesse of aromas.
