Michel Genet MG BB Vintage Grand Cru Champagne 2018
Michel Genetâs MG BB Vintage Grand Cru 2018 is a stunning example of what the CĂŽte des Blancs does best - pure Chardonnay from the chalky slopes of Chouilly, crafted with precision and care by the Genet family. The 2018 vintage was generous, and it shows here in the wineâs depth and texture, yet it never loses the freshness and drive that define great Grand Cru Champagne. Elegant, expressive and built to impress, this is grower Champagne with real pedigree.
Vivino Rating: 4.2 (September 2025)
Taste
Ripe lemon, white peach and hints of acacia honey meet subtle notes of brioche and chalk. The palate is creamy and layered, with citrus and stone-fruit flavours lifted by a fine, persistent mousse and a clean, saline edge. Long, poised and complete â a superb vintage expression that balances richness with finesse.
About the Producer
âManufacteurs de Grands Crusâ. Michel Genet like to call themselves âmanufacteursâ (âartisansâ) from the wordâs Latin origins in manu-factum = made by hand as they are personally involved in every stage of creating their Champagnes. Antoine, Vincent et AgnĂšs Genet take an artisan approach to managing their family-run Champagne House, which bears the name of their father, Michel Genet. All three advocate taking the most natural approach to viticulture and vinification possible, and their process is highly selective (vine parcel supervision, organic (AB) amendments, sustainable pest control), qualitative (with approved quality standards for the entire winery) and reliable (independent, stringent and reactive).
