About the Producer
Château de Gourdon lies near Bollène, in the heart of the Southern RhĂ´ne. It has over 50 hectares of vineyards in the appellations CĂ´tes du RhĂ´ne and CĂ´tes du RhĂ´ne Village Suze la Rousse, some of which border Châteauneuf du Pape. The vines are well-placed, enjoying a Mediterranean climate and sandy soils which imparts an intensity while the naturally low yields mean the wines have great concentration. The often-fierce intervention of the Mistral keeps pests at bay meaning they donât use pesticides or herbicides. The result wines have a delicious purity of fruit and are an excellent expression of the varieties that made them.
